Educator

General Education Teacher Grades 2 through 5

Taught at 2 school districts and 3 schools in all grades ranging from 2nd through 5th with the majority of time spent in 4th and 5th grade.  Developed and utilized a variety of instructional practices and strategies including technology tools to engage learners in understanding and attainment of learning objectives.  Analyzed learning needs based on assessment data to ensure student success at all levels.

2014-2015

TOSA Instructional Coach

  • Collaboratively worked with administration and other building specialists to develop and lead professional development to a staff of 35-40, based on the instructional needs of the building to improve student growth.

  • Collaboratively planned and organized side-by-side professional development with 16 certified classroom teachers to implement and improve instructional strategies informed by best practices which includes planning, modeling, and co-teaching lessons.

  • Collaboratively worked with other district coaches to plan, develop, organize, and lead district wide professional development to improve teacher performance and outcomes in the classroom.  

  • Observed and provided feedback to classroom teachers specifically targeting instructional moves in best practice that would support their goal efforts in improving student performance and growth.
